Sydney Airport is dotted with many great hotels but the newly added Pullman may be the pick of the crop.
Located at Sydney Airport, the Pullman is an ultra-modern, newly built hotel next to budget Ibis red, and walking distance from Mascot railway station, that has filled in the gap that luxury travellers are looking for.
It is located on O’Riordan Street and is just 500 metres from the domestic terminals and a SuperShuttle ride from the international terminal.
It is the 14th Pullman property across Australia and it’s a remarkable hotel to join the Accor Hotels group’s rapidly expanding network in the Asia Pacific region. Pullman is the fastest growing luxury brand in Asia Pacific.
Immediately upon entering into the bright, high-ceilinged lobby, I’m greeted by helpful staff who aid me with my luggage and check-in. The lobby merges into a lounge area and the Mobius Bar & Grill – a well-priced and thoroughly stylish eatery with an open-plan kitchen.
Mascot and the surrounding area may not have many fine dining options but Mobius gives the area a welcome addition. Menu changes according to each season. I had the pleasure of tasting the ‘summer menu’ for dinner and it was delicious. The Mobius Bar & Grill open from morning through to evening – breakfast to long lunch, to a relaxed drinks at the end of the day.
The rooms are very large and comfortable. They also combine modernity and a welcoming spirit to give that five-star feel that business and leisure guests yearn for when staying at an airport.
There is a stylish Executive Club Lounge for regular Accor guests, providing work room and evening canapés and beverages, as well as a 24-hour gym.
Pullman Sydney Airport is at 191 O’Riordan St, Mascot NSW 2020. +61 2 8398 4600
